最近想要提高自己的英文寫作流暢度，希望能達到接近中文的順暢度。所以決定寫文章先寫英文版，再翻譯成中文。 先來英文版。

Dreaming feels better than real experiences

Went to a glamping site as a replacement videographer for 2 days. The most vivid memory was an empty gaming room. This reminds me of a twitter post I saw on facebook about someone treating himself to a lavish hotpot at home during a typhoon break and the envy and applause it received.

"Looks so nice".

"I envy you."

Despite all the praise, it's really not difficult to have this experience. A few hundred $TWD and a run to PX mart will do.

Once you actually do it, "This feels nice!...kinda." will probably be what you'll think to yourself.

That's about it. It is a nice experience to have, but you probably won't do it a second time.

Examples of this are everywhere.

• People spending more time talking about the games they want to play than actually playing it
• Deluxe gaming setups that has more use for getting attention on social media than for actually gaming
• People complaining about the shortage of PS5s when in reality, they are not even difficult to get, even if for a slightly higher price

People spend more time dreaming about things they don't have than focusing on what they have, or even trying to get the things they think they want. Trust me, many things are not as difficult to have as they are made out to be.

This is not to discourage you from having experiences. Quite the opposite, try having real experiences and learn what it's truly like in reality instead of day-dreaming about it. Helps you cut through the fake artificial dreams you thought you had and start living in the now.

去豪華露營場的感想：幻想比現實可口

這兩天當了臨時攝影師，去一個glamping露營場地兩天一夜。雖然生意很好，位置客滿，其中有一個空蕩蕩的電玩區讓我滿印象深刻的。這讓我聯想到前陣子颱風天，有人在社群媒體分享自己一人享受豪華火鍋的照片，得到大量的轉發跟稱讚。

「好羨慕喔」

「真好」

儘管這種文會得到大量的吹捧，仔細想想要自己實際體驗其實不難。只要你願意花幾百塊，然後跑去全聯一趟，其實每個人都得到。

一旦你實際嘗試過後，你的感想可能會是「恩...感覺還不錯啦」。

大概就這樣了。人生中有這樣的體驗是不錯，但你大概會懶得再做第二次。

類似的例子有很多：

• 大家常常花很多時間說他們哪些遊戲想玩，花很多錢屯一堆遊戲，卻不實際騰出時間去玩。（實際完了大概會發現有點空虛）
• 豪華的電腦、遊戲配備會在社群媒體得到很多讚，但本人可能根本沒花多少時間玩
• 很多人在網路上抱怨PS5缺貨，但其實實際到店家問問，根本不難買，就算價格稍微高了一點點（真的想玩還會在意那一點錢嗎？）

我們花很多時間幻想我們沒有的東西，而不是專注的珍惜眼前的當下，或是甚至不去嘗試真的體驗看看那些你「幻想」擁有東西。相信我，很多東西沒有你想像得難體驗。沒錢有沒錢的玩法，有錢有有錢的玩法，但實際上的體感不會差太多。

我並不是想潑冷水，讓大家不去嘗試自己想要的體驗。正好相反，請盡量去嘗試，多去體驗真實世界是怎樣的，並且不要再活在幻想之中了。一旦你開始行動，就可以看穿那些社會賦予你的虛假幻想，並開始活在當下。
